Deposit UP TO MARCH 1936 SEVERAL CARLOADS OF CLAWAS SHIPPED TO CALIFORNIA. ROCKS CROP OUT ON LOW, FLAT RIDGES WHICH ARE DISSECTED BY MANY SHALLOW CANYONS. THE MONTMORILLONITE IS IN THE NORTHERN PART OF THE OUTCROPS. THE DEPOSIT IS FLAT AND CAPPED WITH A FEW INCHES TO MANY FEET OF CLAY MATERIAL. THE MONTMORILLONITE BED IS ABOUT 8 FEET THICK. IT WAS MINED FROM THE PIT FACE AT THE NORTHWEST END OF THE OUTCROP. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT
