Comments on the geologic information

  • QUARTZ-CALCITE VEINS FROM ONE TO A FEW FEET THICK. TWO DISTINCT VEIN SYSTEMS PRESENT. ONE TRENDS N50-60W, EMPLACED ALONG SHEAR ZONES PARALLEL TO MAIN AXIS OF REGIONAL FOLDING. THE OTHER IS AT RIGHT ANGLES TO THE FIRST, TRENDING N15-20E, PARALLEL TO BEDDING IN THE VOLCANIC ROCKS. AREA MINED WAS ALONG AN INTERSECTION OF THE TWO VEIN SYSTEMS. GOLD VALUES WERE OBTAINED FROM BOTH VEIN SYSTEMS, BUT SILVER APPEARS TO BE RESTRICTED TO THE NORTHEAST-TRENDING VEINS. GRADE OF ORE DECREASES WITH DEPTH.

General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit THE OLD SW-BEARING ADIT WAS DRIVEN ON A SHEAR WITHIN THE META-ANDESITE WHICH IS PARTLY FILLED WITH OXIDIZED AND BR-ECCIATED QUARTZ VEIN MATERIAL. THE MINERALIZATION EXTENDS INTO- THE METASEDIMENTS ALONG THE MARGIN OF THE VEIN, AND INCLUDES -COPPER SULFIDES AND OXIDES AS WELL AS POSSIBLE AG-PB SULFIDES.- DRILL CORE HAS BEEN STORED IN A TRAILER ON THE SITE AND IS PR-ESUMED TO HAVE COME FROM THE LOCAL DRILL SITES.; MODEL NAME COULD ALSO BE: KUROKO MASSIVE SULFIDE.
