General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit MR. JACK DAVIS WHO LIVES AT THE MINE (1984) REPORTED THAT THE ORE WAS IN NARROW SEAMS OPENING INTO POCKETS OR VUGS CONTAINING GOLD. MANY OF THE SEAMS ARE FRACTURE-FILLING OR VEINLETS, BUT OTHERS ARE CLEARLY FAULT CONTROLLED AND PROBABLY GENETICALLY RELATED TO THE GRANITES. SAMPLE 2981 WAS FROM A NEWER EXPOSED PORTION OF THE MINE IN WHAT MUST BE A MINOR VEIN SYSTEM.
Deposit A GROUP OF 7 CLAIMS OWNED BY THE DEFENBAUGHS IN THE 1930'S. IT WAS DISCOVERED IN 1894 BY ROBERT DENIO, AFTER WHICH IT WAS ACQUIRED BY J. COWDEN & ASSOC. WHO ORGANIZED THE NEVADA KING MINING CO., WHO BUILT A MILL, TREATED ORE & DID CONSIDERABLE DEVELOPMENT WORK. DEVELOPMENT CONSISTED OF 7 ADITS (UP TO 490 FT. LONG) AND OTHER WORKINGS TOTALLING SEVERAL THOUSAND FEET. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT; 3 FIELD OBSERV
