  • 4 OR MORE VEINS ON THE PROPERTY, THE MOST IMPORTANT OF WHICH ARE THE PAVLAK AND TAFT VEINS. FREE GOLD IS COMMONLY IN NODULES OR RENIFORM LUMPS FORMED BY CONCRETIONARY GROWTHS OF GANGUE, USUALLY AROUND AN ENCLOSED FRAGMENT OF RHYOLITE. IN CONCRETIONARY ORE, GOLD USUALLY OCCURS ALONG DARK LINES OF BANDING.

  • DRIFTS, TUNNELS, STOPES. THE PAVLAK TUNNEL, DRIVEN IN 1910, AT N75E FOR 700 FT., CROSSCUT THE PAVLAK VEIN AT A DEPTH OF 600 FT., WHERE THE VEIN IS 2-8 FT. WIDE THE PAVLAK SHAFT WAS (AT LEAST) WHERE THE VEIN WAS 10-12 FT. DEEP IN GOOD ORE.

Deposit LOCATED BY MICHAEL PAVLAK AND MR.TRURO IN 1909. OWNED IN 1910 BY THE JARBIDGE-PAVLAK G.M. CO., AND OPERATED BY LESSEES. 7 CLAIMS EXTEND FOR ABOUT 6000 FEET, MAINLY ALONG THE PAVLAK VEIN WHICH IS UP TO 60 FT. WIDE. IN 1910-1911, MESSRS. BROWN OF SALT LAKE CITY PURCHASED THE PAVLAK MINE AND ERECTED A MILL IN 1911 WHICH RAN INTERMITTENTLY FOR 4 MONTHS, CLOSING IN 1912. DEVELOPMENT BY 1920 CONSISTED OF ABOUT 2000 FEET OF UNDERGROUND WORKINGS (DRIFTS, TUNNELS, STOPES ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT
