Deposit TACTITE BODY AT CONTACT OF GRANITE PORPHYRY WITH LIMESTONE ALSO, SOME GOLD-BEARING QUARTZ VEINS.
Deposit THE DELMAS COPPER CO., OWNER OF SEVERAL CLAIMS, DEVELOPED THEIR PROPERTY BY MEANS OF SHALLOW PITS AND ADITS TO EXPLORE THE COPPER ORE DEPOSITS IN THE TACTITE BODY WHICH EXTENDS IN A ZONE OVER 2000' LONG, AND 125'-400' WIDE. MUCH OF THE EARLY DEVELOPMENT WAS COMPLETED FROM 1906-1908. THIS ACTIVITY RESULTED IN THE SHIPPING OF ORE TO THE UTAH SMETTERS. THE SWEEPSTAKES CLAIM IS THE MOST EXTENSIVELY EXPLORED. ORE SHIPPED RAN AS HIGH AS 70 OZ. OF SILVER, 10.4% COPPER, AND 2.8% LEAD. THE HIGHEST GRADE ORE CARRIES CHALCOCITE COATED SULPHIDES ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT
