Comments on the geologic information

  • ADIT PORTAL EXPLORES THIN BEDDED SILTST. & SILTY WHT. (BLEACHED) LS. THE MAJORITY OF RK. ON DUMP IS COARSELY XTALLINE FOSSILIFEROUS GREY LS WITH CRINOID AND SHELL FRAGS. (SOUNDS LIKE JOANNA BUT MAPPED AS PR CARBONATES ON COUNTRY MAP). THE LS., CONTAINS PODS & VEINLETS OF CALCITE. ABUNDANT BROWN MUDSTONE & SILTST. ALSO OBSERVED IN AREA. ALTERED RK ON DUMP CONSISTS OF HIGHLY SILIC., HEMATITE & LIMONITE STAINED LS & SILTST. RK. BREAKS EASILY ALONG FRACTURES. SOME OF THE RK. IS JASPEROIDAL GOSSAN. CUOX FOUND ON SOME SAMPLES GREEN & PURPLE GLASSY MIN. (ZN OX?) FOUND ON FRACTURES OF HIGHLY ALTERED SAMPLE. STRUCTURE COULD NOT BE OBSERVED AT WORKINGS, BUT THE PRESENCE OF LS BRX CEMENTED WITH CALCITE VEINS ON DUMP MAY INDICATE A SHEAR-TYPE ORIGIN FOR THIS DEPOSIT.
