Comments on the geologic information

  • RED RESISTANT OUTCROP OF JSP RUNS ALONG BASE OF RANGE ALL THE WAY FROM SAMPLE LOC 883 TO HERE. SHAFT EXPLOITES JSP WITH RESISTANT OUTCROP JUST EAST OF WORKINGS. LIMESTONE BEDS CROPOUT ABOVE JSP ON RIDGE TOP TO EAST. JSP BODY APPEARS TO CUT ACROSS BEDDING OF LIMESTONE BUT MAY JUST BE A RESULT OF SHEARING. SLICKS ON JSP INDICATE POST-SILIC MOVEMENT OF BODY. MOST ROCKS ARE SILICIFIED LIMESTONE & GOSSAN WITH ABUNDANT HEMATITE, & LIMONITE STAINING. A BRECCIATED BOULDER CONTAIN FRAGMENTS OF SILICIFIED LIMESTONE (3IN & LESS) CEMENTED BY GLASSY BLUE TO DARK GREEN ADAMITE.
