| Deposit | THIS MINE IS LOCATED IN THE HANKS GROUP OF CLAIMS (HANKS NO. 1) THE MINE IS ABOUT 500 FT. OUTSIDE OF THE CONTACT, ON A BANDED LODE OR BED 8 FT. WIDE. THE LODE IS OPENED BY AN INCLINED SHAFT 120 FEET DEEP, AND A 75-FT. DRIFT TO THE NW ON THE 25 FT. LEVEL. NEARLY ALL WORK WAS DONE IN 1895-6 BY W.T. MCARDLE. MINE WAS LAST WORKED IN 1899. 100 TONS OF ORE ON THE DUMP AVERAGE 7% CU, AND 4 OZ/TON AG (SCHRADER, 1912, P 137). ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT |
