Deposit COPPER CONTENT OF ORE RANGES FROM 3% TO 50%, BUT GENERALLY CONTAINS LT10% CU. (SCHRADER, 1935, P 15). FIRST LOCATED AROUND 1890. PRINCIPAL DEVELOPMENT WORK DONE 1901-1904. MAIN SHAFT IS 196 FT DEEP. PALEOZOIC LIMESTONE AND JURASSIC GRANODIORITE CONTACT TRENDS N 80-85 E AND DIPS 73 DEG TOWARD GRANODIORITE. FAULTS ARE SUBSEQUENT TO INTRUSION. (SCHRADER, 1935, P 19-22). THIS IS ONE OF THE NEVADA-BELLEVUE COPPER MINING COMPANY'S CLAIMS. PROPERTY WAS DISCOVERED IN 1889-90 BY MESSRS. WARWICK, ENGLISH AND TWO OTHERS (SCHRADER, 1912, P 102) THE BROOKLYN MINE PROPERTY CONSISTS OF 6 CLAIMS: BROOKLYN LODE MINING SURVEY NO. 1972, BROOKLYN EXTN.
