  • A NUMBER OF TRENCHES, PITS, OPENCUTS, SHORT ADITS, DRIFTS, AND SHAFTS ARE PRESENT ON THE PROPERTY. MOST OF THE PRODUCTION CAME FROM DRIFTS AND SHAFTS ON THE E.H.B. LODE CLAIM.

  • THE E.H.B. LODE, PROBABLE, AND NO. 1 SPECIAL CLAIMS WERE OPERATED BY STAR DUST MINES UNTIL 1953, WHEN THEY WERE LEASED TO F.F. HINTZE, WHO HELD A CONTRACT WITH THE DEFENSE MINERALS EXPLORATION ADMINISTRATION (EVERETT, 1961, P. 24).

Deposit THE MINERALIZATION OCCURS BOTH IN GARNET-RICH AND POOR CONTACT METASOMATIC ZONES; THE GARNET-RICH TACTITES SEEM TO CARRY THE LARGER (BUT LOWER GRADE) ORE BODIES, THAT IS, ORE THAT IS HIGHER IN MOLYBDENUM (FROM THE MINERAL POWELLITE).
