| Deposit | LIMESTONE IS SILICIFIED AND MINERALIZED, AND IN DUMPS SHOWS COPPER AND LEAD MINERALS AS WELL AS IRON STAINING. ADIT APPEARS TO FOLLOW A N70 E VERTICAL TO STEEPLY SE-DIPPING SHEAR ZONE IN JASPEROID AND QUARTZITE BUT TURNS NW TO EXPLORE MAIN SILICIFIED ZONE. ROCKS AT PORTAL ARE FRACTURED AND CALCITEVEINED. LIMESTONE PREDOMINATES ON THE NORTH SIDE OF N 70 E FAULT WHILE QUARTZITE AND JASPEROID FROM RESISTANT KNOBBY OUTCROPS ON SOUTH SIDE. JASPEROIDS COVER MUCH OF THE AREA SURROUNDING THE WORKINGS. SAMPLE 1734 WAS TAKEN FROM THE ADIT DUMP AND CONSISTS OF FE-STAINED BRECCIATED VUGGY, GOSSANY, HIGHLY SILICEOUS MOTTLED GREY JASPEROID. SMALL IRON-STAINED BRECCIA VEINS CUT THROUGH ROCK; SOME QUARTZITE FRAGMENTS OCCUR IN BRECCIA, BUT MAINLY THE FRAGMENTS ARE LIMESTONE. THE SLOPE FOLLOWS A SILICIFIED QUARTZ AND BARITE-VEINED, JASPEROID FAULT ZONE STRIKING N 40 W, DIP 35 NE. HANGING WALL IS QUARTZITE, FOOTWALL IS GREY LIMESTONE. LIMESTONE BEDS ARE TRUNCATED BY A HIGH-ANGLE FAULT ZONE, BUT |
