  • QUARTZITE SHAFT-200 FT DEEP WITH 4 LEVELS 50 FT APART. BLACK BUTTE SHAFT IS 150 FT DEEP WITH 3 LEVELS, EACH ABOUT 10 FT BELOW THE QUARTZITE'S LEVELS. A 545-FT TUNNEL CONNECTS THE TWO SHAFTS, AND THERE IS A CHAIN OF HORIZONTAL STOPES ON A FLAT VEIN

  • THE MINES WERE CONSOLIDATED IN 1905. PRIOR TO THAT, A CONSIDERABLE BODY OF ORE HAD BEEN STOPED BY LESSEES.
