  • SPURR REPORTED $200,000 WORTH OF SILVER PRODUCED FROM THE COMBINED POCATELLO AND VANDERBILT MINES TO 1906.

Comments on development

  • ONE OF THE FIRST CLAIMS TO BE STAKED IN THE DISTRICT. AN 1878 REPORT STATED THAT SEVERAL HUNDRED TONS OF $80. ORE HAD BEEN DEVELOPED ON THE POCOTILLO CLAIM. PATENTED IN 1879 WHEN OWNED BY THE SILVER PEAK AND RED MOUNTAIN GOLD AND SILVER MINING CO.
