| Deposit | TUFFS AND LAKE BEDS ARE SILICIFIED ALONG HANGING WALL OF FAULT (CAMBRIAN EL DORADO LIMESTONE FAULTED AGAINST MIOCENE VOLCANOGENIC SEDIMENTARY ROCKS) TO FORM AN OPALITE RIB IN WHICH CINNABAR IS DISSEMINATED. CINNABAR ALSO OCCURS IN THE UNSILICIFIED TUFF BEDS BUT IS MOST CONCENTRATED IN THE OPALITE NEAR THE FAULTED CONTACT WITH THE LIMESTONE. CINNABAR IS FOUND IN BRECCIA PIPES AND IN AN IRREGULAR SILICIFIED RUBBLE ZONE. |
