Comments on the commodity information

  • ORE WAS A TALC-CHLORITE MIXTURE WHICH DID NOT COMMAND A HIGH PRICE. MOST ORE IS BRECCIATED WITH 1-2 INCH ROUNDED FRAGMENTS IN A FINE-GRAINED FOLIATED MATRIX. ORE IS HIGHLY VARIABLE IN COMPOSITION, RANGING FROM TALC WITH ONLY A LITTLE CHLORITE TO CHLORITE WITH MINOR TALC. QUARTZ AND CALCITE ARE COMMON IMPURITIES.

General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit MOST TALCOSE MATERIAL OCCURS ALONG THE CONTACT OF IGNEOUS AND DOLOMITIC ROCKS. AN AREA 1500 FT SE OF C AND C OPEN PIT HAS IRREGULAR CHLORITE-RICH BODIES APPROXIMATELY CONFORMABLE TO BEDDING, IN HORNFELS, 400 FT SOUTH OF THE CONTACT OF IGNEOUS ROCKS WITH REED DOLOMITE.
