WORKED DURING EARLY 1980'S BY SMALL-SCALE HAND METHODS, IN 1940 BY BULLDOZERS AND CARRYALLS; ALONG A TWO MILE LENGTH. ACTIVE IN 1984, EMPLOYING 4 PERSONS IN OPEN PIT SINGLE BENCH OPERATION. BOTH SPAULDING CANYON MINE (6 EMPLOYEES) AND NEVADA MIDAS MINE (10 EMPLOYEES) WERE LISTED AS ACTIVE IN 1983, BOTH RUN AT THAT TIME BY NEVADA MIDAS MINING CORP., BOTH APPARENTLY IN SPAULDING CANYON. IN 1982, BOTH THE NEV-TEX MINE NO. 1 (16 EMPLOYEES) AND THE RARE EARTH PRODUCTS, INC.'S SPAULDING CANYON MINE (6 EMPLOYEES) WERE OPERATING IN SPAULDING CANYON.
