Comments on development

  • THIS AREA HAS BEEN RESTAKED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE THE 1940'S, AND IT IS DIFFICULT NOW TO ASCERTAIN THE LIMITS OF THE PREVIOUS CLAIMS. IN 1957, THE AREA WAS LOCATED BY CLYDE GARRETT AS A BLOCK INCLUDING THE CAMP SITE, LUCKY DAY, GRAND VIEW AND FULL MOON CLAIMS. IN 1959, K.N, MEADOR JOINED GARRETT TO EXPLORE THE GROUND, WHICH WAS HELD JOINTLY UNTIL 1962. IN 1972, THE GROUND WAS RELOCATED BY MEADOR WHO FILED A MAP OF THE FRIDAY GROUP ACCURATELY LOCATING THE RED ROBIN CLAIMS AND HE HELD TITLE AT LEAST TO 1976. IN 1980, A CLAIM NOTICE WAS SEEN ON THE PROPERTY INDICATING IT HAD BEEN RESTAKED THE YEAR BEFORE AS THE ALTA MOZELLE NO. 42, WHICH IS DOUBTLESS ONE OF A LARGE GROUP OF GOLD CLAIMS, PROBABLY HELD BY QUEENSTAKE NOW (1984).
