  • CURRENT STATUS-RESERVES DEVELOPMENT. THE JOINT VENTURE COVERS 800 ACRES OF RAILROAD LAND. IN 1982, SANTA FE AND U.S. BORAX ENTERED INTO A JOINT VENTURE ON THE PROPERTY WHICH LIES ON 800 ACRES OF RAILROAD OWNED LAND. IN 1984, U.S. BORAX CONDUCTED DOWN-THE-HOLE HAMMER DRILLING IN ABOUT 40 HOLES AND DIAMOND DRILLING IN 7 HOLES. METALLURGICAL TESTING WAS CONDUCTED. IN 1985, U.S. BORAX WAS CONTINUING ITS DRILL PROGRAM, AGAIN CONSISTING OF MAINLY DOWN-THE-HOLE HAMMER WORK. ADJACENT TO THE JOINT VENTURE PROPERTY ARE AN ADDITIONAL 172 CLAIMS STAKED BY SANTA FE AND HELD SEPARATELY FROM THE JOINT VENTURE. IN 1985, SANTA FE CONDUCTED R.C. DRILLING ON THESE CLAIMS. NBMG FIELD EXAMINATION OF AREA IN SEPT. 1984 INDICATED NO ACTIVITY, BUT MOST OF THESE CLAIMS WERE SOAKED AFTER THAT TIME.
