Subject category Comment text
Deposit VEIN MATERIAL CONSISTS OF WHITE QUARTZ, SERICITE, YELLOW-GREEN OXIDES, CHALCOPYRITE, PYRITE, TETRAHEDRITE AND RUBY SILVER. QUARTZ VEINS AND APLITE DIKES CUT GRANITE; THE DIKES AND QUARTZ ARE MORE RESISTANT TO WEATHERING THAN THE GRANITE, WHICH FORMS A GRUSS WHILE THE VEIN QUARTZ AND THE APLITE LITTERS THE HILLSIDE WITH LARGE FRAGMENTS OF FLOAT. SHAFT WAS SUNK ON A N 70 E, 35 NW VEIN SYSTEM. WALL ROCKS ARE KAOLINIZED AND SERICITIZED AND VEIN AND WALL ROCKS SHOW MINOR MANGANESE OXIDE STAINING.
