Deposit SCHEELITE OCCURS IN TACTITE ALONG A LIMESTONE GRANITE CONTACT WHICH TRENDS NW FROM THE SHAFT. THE CONTACT HAS BEEN TRACED NW ALONG STRIKE FOR ABOUT 300 FT. ORE WAS REPORTEDLY PRESENT AT BOTTOM OF 60-FT SHAFT. THE LIMESTONE IS STEEPLY TILTED NEAR THE GRANITE CONTACT AND LOCALLY INVADED BY GRANITE FINGERS THAT EXTEND WESTWARD FROM THE GRANITE MASS. SCHEELITE OCCURS DISSEMINATED AND AS SMALL CRYSTALS IN SILICATED ZONES ASSOCIATED WITH GARNET, EPIDOTE, QUARTZ, AND MINOR AMOUNTS OF COPPER CARBONATES.
