General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit MAIN ADIT BEARS S 40 W FOR 1245 FT CROSSING UNDER THE MAJOR NW-TRENDING GOLD KING VEIN SYSTEM DESCRIBED BY SCHRADER (1947) LEADING OFF THE MAIN ADIT ARE ANOTHER 1675 FT OF WHAT APPEAR TO BE EXPLORATORY DRIFTS, MANY OF WHICH FOLLOW MINOR FAULTS WHICH BRANCH OFF FROM THE MAIN SYSTEM, AND NONE OF WHICH FOUND ANY ORE. SOME ORE-GRADE MATERIAL MAY HAVE BEEN MINED DURING THE DRIVING OF THE DRIFTS, BUT NO FOLLOW-UP DEVELOPMENT WORK IS IN EVIDENCE. MANY OF THE FAULTED ZONES ARE PARTIALLY CAVED, BUT ALL OF THE WORKINGS ARE ACCESSIBLE. A SMALL PILE OF VEIN MATERIAL FOUND STACKED ON THE DUMP WAS APPARENTLY MINED DURING THE EXPLORATION DRIFTING BUT IT IS NOT KNOWN FROM WHERE IN THE MINE THE MATERIAL CAME. SAMPLE 3892 WAS COLLECTED FROM QUARTZ-ADULARIA MATERIAL FOUND IN THIS PILE.
