General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit WORKINGS ARE ALONG THE MARIE-RUBY FAULT-VEIN SYSTEM IDENTIFIED EARLIER BY SCHRADER (1947) AND ARE ALL IN WONDER RHYOLITE. A HALF DOZEN OF THE PROSPECTS ARE PITS AND SHALLOW WORKINGS THAT FOLLOW EXPOSED SILICIFIED, OXIDIZED IRON-STAINED AND LEACHED PORTIONS OF THE VEIN. SAMPLE 3899 WAS COLLECTED FROM THE DUMPS ASSOCIATED WITH THE WORKINGS. LOCALLY THERE ARE DIKES OF DARKER BUT MORE STRONGLY ALTERED ANDESITE (?).
