Structure description Bedding In Mm Rocks: N 70 E, 45-70 Nw. Foliation In Diorite Strikes Ne And Dips More Steeply Than Beds In The Pendant.

Comments on the geologic information

  • SCHEELITE IN SMALL ROOF PENDANT 20 M WIDE AND ABOUT 85 M LONG, CUT OFF ON ALL SIDES BY DARK BIOTITE DIORITE. SMALL MASS OF QUARTZ DIORITE INTRUDED PENDANT AND PART OF THE BIO. DIORITE S OF THE SHAFT. PROPERTY IS 260 M NW OF THE MAIN BODY OF QUARTZ DIORITE. PENDANT CONSISTS MAINLY OF HORNFELS, WITH SUBORDINATE MARBLE REPLACED BY TACTITE AT 3-4 PLACES ALONG BEDDING PLANES. NUMEROUS PEGMATITE DIKES CROSSCUT DEPOSIT.

Comments on the production information

  • 30-35 TONS OF 0.91% TUNGSTATE ORE SORTED INTO PILES ON THE DUMPS (1945). OUT OF SOME 250-300 TONS OF ROCK EXTRACTED FROM THE 22.6 M SHAFT, ONLY 8-10 TONS OF ORE AVERAGING 0.9 OR 1.0% TUNGSTATE WERE OBTAINED.

Comments on the reserve resource information

  • AVE. MINING WIDTH: 1.2 M ; AT BEST, THE DEPOSIT MAY CONTAIN ROUGHLY 2,500 TONS OF ORE AVGING 0.3 OR 0.4% WO3, FROM WHICH 1,000 TONS OF ORE CONTAINING 0.8 OR 0.9% WO3 COULD BE SORTED. BUT, SO MUCH BARREN ROCK WOULD HAVE TO BE MINED THAT THE TOTAL AMOUNT REMOVED WOULD BE ABOUT 4,000 TONS WITH AVE. WO3 CONTENT OF LESS THAN 0.2%.

Comments on the workings information

  • 22.6 M SHAFT AND ADIT, OPEN CUTS.
