Comments on the geologic information

  • COUNTRY ROCK CONSISTS OF ANDESITES, VOLCANIC CONGLOMERATES AND TUFFS WITH STRATIFICATION DIPPING 35 NE ALONG N 20 W STRIKE. RHYOLITES AND RHYOLITIC TUFFS OVERLIE EROSIONAL SURFACES ON OLDER ROCKS, AND ARE COVERED BY RHYOLITIC VOLCANIC ASH HAVING A WESTERLY (INITIAL?) DIP OF 10 DEGREES. RHYOLITES AND TUFFS ARE FRACTURED AND SLICKENSIDED. MINERALIZED VEINS CUT RHYOLITES, BUT DO NOT EXTEND INTO TUFFS, ASH OR ALLUVIUM.
