  • CHALCOPYRITE REPLACES A THICK, STEEPLY-DIPPING HORIZON IN TRIASSIC DOLOMITES INTRUDED BY A PYRITIC QUARTZ MONZONITE PORPHYRY. ADJACENT BEDS ARE ALTERED TO CALC-SILICATE MINERALS. IN THE WEST WALL OF THE PIT, FLAT LYING QUARTZ VEINLETS AND VERTICAL TO NW VEINLETS CONTAIN DISSEMINATED CHALCOPYRITE AND A LITTLE MOLYBDENITE.
