EN ESTA SECUENCIA SE ENCUENTRA EMPLAZADO EL STOCK DIORITICO DE MARCAPUNTA. ESTRATIGRAFICAMENTE COMPRENDE AL GRUPO POCOBAMBA DEL CRETACEO SUPERIOR Y TERCIARIO INFERIOR; EN LOS ALREDEDORES, FORMACIONES DEL JURASICO-TRIASICO (CALIZAS PARIA) Y SEDIMENTOS DEL GRUPO MITU Y EXCELSIOR (PALEOZOICO SUPERIOR E INFERIOR).
