CVRD THINKS THAT NOT MORE THAN 40-50% OF THE GOLD WAS RECOVERED. A JAPANESE COMPANY IS SAID TO BE NEGOTIATING A DEAL FOR REPROCESSING OF TAILINGS AND TOESTABLISH AN UNDERGROUND OPERATION (1990).
