VARGAS MEMBER IS ABOUT 600 M THICK AND REPRESENTS DELTAIC SECTION THAT LATERALLY GRADES INTO AND VERTICALLY PROGRADES ON FINE-GRAINED DEEPWATER RHYTHMITE OF THE MANGUEIRAO MEMBER. AGE BASED ON RB/SR AGE (525 MA) OF RHYOLITES FROM ACAMPAMENTO VELHO MEMBER AND K/AR AGE (495 +/0 20 MA) ON ANDESITE IN THE HILARIO MEMBER.
