Deposit THIS IS ONE OF THE OLDEST AND MOST PRODUCTIVE MINES IN THE GOLD BASIN DISTRICT.
Deposit DETACHMENT FAULT RELATED DEPOSIT. TWO TYPES OF MINERALIZATION: GOLD-BEARING QUARTZ BEINS OF CRETACEOUS AGE RELATED TO THE CRET GRANITE AND MID-MIOCENE MINERALIZATION IN THE UPPER PLATE OF A DETACHMENT ZONE. ORE CONSISTS OF BRECCIATED FRAGMENTS OF COARSE-TEXTURED GRAYISH VEIN QUARTZ AND COUNTRY ROCK MORE OR LESS FIRMLY CEMENTED BY IRON OXIDE AND SILICA. THIS IS ONLY MINE IN DISTRICT WITH LATE-STAGE TERTIARY ORE SPATIALLY RELATED TO DETACHMENT FAULTING.
