SAPROLITE UP TO0 M THICK CONSIST OF KAOLINITE AND CLAYS WITH RELICT QUARTZ, CHLORITE, MAGNETITE, ILMENITE, RUTILE, APATITE, ZIRCON, AND LOCALLY COLLOFORM GOETHITE WITH PRESERVED ROCK TEXTURES. PALLID ZONE UP TO 20 M THICK, COMPOSED OF OFF-WHITE KAOLINITE WITH RELICT QUARTZ, ILMENITE, AND GOETHITE. MOTTLED ZONE UP TO 100 M THICK CONSISTS OF YELLOW TO BROWN KAOLINITIC CLAYS WITH BLOCK TEXTURES WITH IRON-RICH CLAY LUMPS AND STAINS; QUARTZ, GOETHITE, HEMATITE, ILMENITE, AND GIBBSITE ARE OTHER MINERALS. FERRUGINOUS ZONE IS UP TO 25 M THICK AND CONTAINS IRON-OXIDE NODULES, PISOLITES, FERRUGINOUS SOIL, RELICT QUARTZ VEINS, AND TEXTURES SUGGESTING BRECCIAS. IT CONTAINS MAGHEMITE, CRYPTOMELANE-HOLLANDITE, GIBBSITE, RELICT QUARTZ VEINS AND TOURMALINE. DEVELOPED OVER CU-AU BEARING BRECCIA PIPE.
