  • THE BUENA CASHMA MINE IS IN FOLDED CRETACEOUS SEDIMENTARY ROCKS JUST NE OF A CONTACT WITH FLAT-LYING TERTIARY VOLCANIC ROCKS. THE CONTACT IS INTRUDED NW OF BUENA CASHMA AND NORTH OF MANGAN BY A STOCK OF PORPHYRITIC ANDESITE.

  • MINES APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN ABANDONED FOR MANY YEARS AT THIS REPORT (1960). 1902-1906, 6 TONS PER MONTH OF HIGH GRADE (15 KG/TON AG) WAS BEING PRODUCED; LOW GRADE ORE WAS 1.5 KG/TON AG. 1908, 70-80 TONS PER MONTH ORE BEING MINED TO PRODUCE 12 TONS OF CONCENTRATES PER MONTH.
