Deposit VEINLETS WITH QUARTZ, CALCITE, EPIDOTE, AND PYRITE ARE SPARSE AND DISCONTINUOUS. THERE IS NO WELL DEFINED MINERALIZATION.
Deposit DUE TO THE PRESENCE OF EPIDOTE, MANY LOCALS HAVE EXPLORED FOR EMERALDS. BUENAVENTURA (1975) MAINTAINS THAT THERE IS LITTLE ECONOMIC IMPORTANCE AT THIS OCCURRENCE, AND THAT IT SHOULD ONLY BE CONSIDERED AS A GUIDE TO GOLD PROSPECT IN THE SURROUNDING AREA.
