Deposit THE CONGLOMERATE IS MADE UP OF PREDOMINANTLY QUARTZ DIORITE CLASTS WITH LESSER AMOUNTS OF SEDIMENTARY AND METAMORPHIC ROCKS. THE MATRIX IS A SANDY-CLAY IN WHICH GOLD NUGGETS AND FLAKES ARE DISSEMINATED. THE CONGLOMERATE IS EXTENSIVE IN LENGTH AND IS AT LEAST 4 M IN THICKNESS.
Deposit BUENAVENTURA (1975) REPORTS THAT EVEN THOUGH THE DEPOSIT HAS BEEN WORKED INTENSELY, THERE IS STILL GOOD ENOUGH GOLD CONTENT TO JUSTIFY FURTHER EXPLORATION.
