Deposit DEPOSIT IS IN ALLUVIUM DEPOSITED BY THE LEMAYO AND LA OSA STREAMS. SEDIMENTS INCLUDE CLASTS OF QUARTZ DIORITE, GRANODIORITE, AND QUARTZ IN A MATRIX OF CLAYEY SAND. THE MATRIX CONTAINS OXIDIZED BANDS WHERE GOLD FLAKES AND OTHER HEAVY ABUNDANT MINERALS ARE LOCATED.
Deposit BUENAVENTURA (1975) REPORTS THAT THE DEPOSIT IS OF LITTLE ECONOMIC IMPORTANCE DUE TO THE OBSERVED LOW GOLD CONTENT.
