  • IN LATE 1800'S, MINE CONSISTED OF TWO PITS (MCCREATH & D'INVILLIERS, 1887). 1988 FIELD VISIT: 200 FT. LONG EXCAVATION (ONE TRENCH) IN AN EAST-WEST ORIENTATION. LOCAL RELIEF OF TRENCH = 30 FT. WEST END GRADES UP TO SADDLE IN RIDGE, EAST END OPEN (MAY BE OLD ROAD GOING DOWN RIDGE TO CREEK FROM EAST END). SPOIL PILED UP ON NORTH AND SOUTH RIMS OF THE EXCAVATION. POROUS ORE FOUND IN SPOIL.

  • 500 TONS WERE SHIPPED TO IVANHOE FOR TRANSPORT ABOUT 1900 BY THE EAGLE MINING COMPANY.
