  • ONE CUT 200 FT. LONG, 100 FT WIDE, 100 FT HIGHWALL; AND SEVERAL SMALLER PITS AND TRENCHES. IN 1917, ORE WAS WORED WITH TWO STEAM SHOVELS AND TRAMMED TO WASHER ON CREASY CREEK. A LOG WASHER WAS IN USE IN THE 1940'S WITH WATER FROM CREASY CRK AND A WELL. LARGE PIECES OF ORE WERE HAND PICKED. MINE MAP IN MILLER, 1944, P. 134.

  • WASHER HAD CAPACITY OF 300 TPD (1917). STORAGE BINS NEAR WASHER HAD 750 T CAP. (1917). WORKED BY MR. FOX IN 1890'S. ARTHUR SHORT (SUGAR GROVE) MINED 500 T OF MN IRON AND 50 T OF 41% MN CONC. THE SOUTHERN MN & FE CO. IN 1916. MN PRODUCTS CO. 1917 & 1918. CLOSED 1918. 1941: N.T. DIXON SHIPPED 2 CARLOADS OF MN ORE. 1942 SUGAR GROVE MINING CO. MINE CLOSED IN MID-1940'S.
