General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit GOLD OCCURS AS STRINGERS IN QUARTZ OCCASIONALLY. THE COUNTRY ROCK CONTAINING THE QUARTZ STRINGERS IS A SERIES OF SCHISTS AND SLATES. DIORITE FORMS THE BEDROCK IN THE STREAM BELOW THE QUARTZ STRINGERS, WHERE THE GRAVELS WERE BEING WASHED. THE STREAM BED WAS COVERED WITH 0.9 TO 1.2 M (3 TO 4 FT) OF SOIL AND GRAVEL. THE GRAVEL IS LOOSE AND CLEAN AND IS SO EASITY HANDLED THAT A WASHER WAS NOT NECESSARY.
Deposit Discovery Year: JUST PRIOR TO 1935
