  • JOINTING IS PROMINENT AND STRIKE E-W AND DIP ABOUT 45 DEGREES TO THE SOUTH. ; GEOL.DESC: CANNON FEELS CU IS PROBABLY RELATED TO THE PRE-TRIASSIC SERPENTINE, BUT IT MAY HAVE BEEN INTRODUCED DURING THE TRIASSIC MINERALIZATION OF THE AREA. ; REG.COM: THE ROCKS IN THIS AREA WERE PREVIOUSLY MAPPED AS WISSAHICKON.

  • THERE MAY HAVE BEEN A CARLOAD OF ORE MINED IN 1880 IF THIS IS THE THEODORA MINE. OTHERWISE THERE APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN NO PRODUCTION.

  • IN 1947 THERE WERE A WATER-FILLED SHAFT 4.6 M IN DIAMETER AND A NUMBER OF OLD PITS IN A LINE NORTH OF THE SHAFT. IN DEC, 1987, THE SHAFT WAS A DEPRESSION, 40 FT BY 20 FT AND ABOUT 5 FT DEEP.

  • LUTTRELL (1966) BELIEVES THIS MAY BE SITE REPORTED BY TYSON (1862). ; ECON.COM: THIS IS ONLY A SMALL SHOWING OF COPPER, AND WAS NEVER OF ENOUGH IMPORTANCE TO MINE.
