MICA SCHIST NOTABLE FOR LARGE AMOUNT OF ANDALUSITE IN FORM OF COARSE CHIASTOLITE CRYSTALS. SCHIST OUTCROP STRIKES NEARLY NORTH FOR 1,000 FT. FROM N. SHAFT, THEN STRIKES N 10 W. DIP OF SCHISTOSITY IS 70 E.

  • MINE WORKED IRREGULARLY SINCE 1900 . RECENT YEARS PRODUCTION HAS BEEN IN "CEMENT" COPPER. NO ZINC PRODUCTION REPORTED AND ONLY 222 LBS. PB. KNOWN TO HAVE BEEN RECOVERED. ORE SHIPPED BETWEEN 1915 - 1948 , AVERAGED 16.68 % CU, 17.1 OZ. AG, MINOR PB AND AU, AND UNKNOWN PERCENTAGE OF ZN. SINCE 1915 PRODUCTION IS LESS THAN 300,000 LBS. OF COPPER, PRIOR PRODUCTION NOT KNOWN.
