| Deposit | GOLD OCCURS IN A QUARTZ VEIN IN QUARTZ-SERICITE SCHIST. THE ORE FROM THE LOWER WORKINGS WAS HIGHLY PYRITIC BUT EASILY CONCENTRATED TO YIELD $175 PER TON. IN 1877 THERE WERE 200 TONS OF ORE ON THE DUMP. |
| Deposit | THE MINE WAS WORKED INTERMITTENTLY TO 1904, WITH THE GREATEST ACTIVITY AROUND 1877. AT THAT TIME WERE 35 MEN EMPLOYED, AND A 10 STAMP MILL WAS USED TO TREAT THE ORE.
