  • OPENED IN 1902. IN 1911 WORKED BY PATRICK SOMERS. IN 1911 QUARRY 70 FEET SQUARE AND 5 FEET DEEP. SHEETS IRREGULAR, ONE TO 8 FEET THICK. INTRUSIVE BODY TRENDS DUE NORTH, 3800 FEET LONG, AS MUCH AS 300 FEET WIDE. GRANITE DARK BUFF GRAY COLOR, OF EVEN GRAINED GRANITIC FINE TEXTURE. SOME PEGMATITES.USED FOR BUILDINGS AND TRIM. AN ADDITIONAL GRANITE QUARRY IS LOCATED 1000 FEET TO THE SSW ON THE SAME INTRUSIVE.
