UPPER QUARRY 100 FEET TO NORTH, 500 FEET LONG NORTH TO SOUTH, 100 FEET WIDE, AS MUCH AS 40 FEET DEEP. SHEETS 2 TO 25 FEET THICK, HORIZONTAL OR INCLINED 10 TO 20 DEG. SE. SLIGHT BIOTITIC BANDING STRIKES N. 70 DEG. WEST, DIPS 35 TO 55 DEG. N. 20 DEG. EAST. GRANITE MEDIUM REDDISH GRAY OF MEDIUM TO COARSE, NOT PORPHYRITIC, GNEISSOID TEXTURE. ROCK USED FOR VARIOUS TYPE BUILDINGS. IN 1911, OPERATORS WERE NORCROSS BROS. CO.
