IN 1911, ABOUT 200 FEET LONG NORTH TO SOUTH, 150 FEET WIDE EAST TO WEST, AND FROM 10 TO 50 FEET DEEP, WITH WORKING FACE 50 FEET HIGH TO NORTHWEST. FOLIATION STRIKE N. 35 DEG. EAST, DIP 45 DEG. SOUTH, 55 DEG. EAST. SHEETS 6 INCHES TO 4 FEET THICK COINCIDE WITH FOLIATION. SOME PEGMATITE DIKES, LARGEST ONE FOOT THICK, CROSSES ENTIRE QUARRY, STRIKE N. 15 TO 22 DEG. WEST. GRANITE MEDIUM BLUISH GRAY COLOR, FINE GRAINED WITH FINELY GNEISSOSE TEXTURE, USED LOCALLY FOR CURBS, STEPS, COPING.
