Deposit OCTAHEDRITE REPORTED IN SMALL FISSURES OF QUARTZ VEINS BUT RECONNAISSANCE INVESTIGATIONS FAILED TO REVEAL ANY SUCH CONCENTRATIONS. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT
Deposit PLACER MATERIAL DERIVED CHIEFLY FROM VOLCANIC ROCKS. PLACER SAMPLE REPORTED IN 1905 HAD 5.9% ILMENITE AND 44% MAGNETITE. SURFACE SAMPLES BY NEVADA BUR. MINES CONTAINED A MAXIMUM OF 0.3% TIO2 AND LITTLE MAGNETITE.
