  • GANGUE MINERALS ARE QUARTZ, CALCITE GOLD OCCURS IN AURIFEROUS PYRITE INCLUDED IN QUARTZ VEINS ALONG WITH LITTLE CHALCOPYRITE AND CALCITE. WHERE CALCITE WAS ABUNDANT IT COMMONLY WAS CUT BY VEINLETS OF AURIFEROUS PYRITE. GOLD ALSO OCCURRED FREE IN QUARTZ. THE GRAINS OF GOLD AVERAGED 0.012-0.025 MM (12-25 MICRONS) ACROSS. GOLD CONTENT RANGED FROM 6 TO 18 GRAMS PER TON, AVERAGING PROBABLY 11-13 G/TON/AU.
