Deposit DEPOSITS FORMED BY MAGMATIC INJECTIONS OF MAGNETITE AND HEMATITE, RELATED TO ACID INTRUSIONS OF THE GRANITE AND DIORITE TYPE. VEIN 1, CONTAINS MOSTLY MAGNETITE; REPORTED TO ASSAY 60% IRON. SOME SILICATE AND PYRITE. VEIN 2 CONTAINS PARALLEL VEINS 500 M NE OF VEIN 1; MASSIVE HEMATITE WITH SOME MAGNETITE. GOOD GRADE. THE LOZAS DEPOSITS (PART OF ACARI CONCESSION?) ARE IN QUEBRADA DE LA LOZA, ABOUT 7 KM WEST OF ACARI, COUNTRY ROCK IS METAMORPHOSED SEDIMENTARY ROCKS AND PORPHYRY NEAR AN INTRUSIVE CONTACT. HEMATITE, IN PART SPECULAR HEMATITE, AND MAGNETITE OCCUR IN LOW-DIPPING FISSURE VEINS OR AS REPLACEMENT OF SANDY BEDS IN THE METASEDIMENTARY ROCKS. THE ORE IS HIGHLY SILICEOUS AND CONTAINS CONSIDERABLE CALCITE.
