THE NEGRILLOS AREA IS ABOUT 3-4KM SSW OF VILCABAMBA. COUNTRY ROCK IS RECRYSTALLIZED LIMESTONE STRIKING N45-90W, DIPPING NE. THE SANTA RITA VEIN STRIKES N, DIPS 60W, & IS 100M LONG & A FEW CM TO 100CM IN WIDTH. VEIN MATERIAL IS CALCITE WITH VEINLETS OF TETRAHEDRITE & GALENA. THE SAN CARLOS VEIN IS SIMILAR, 150M TO THE W. 2)PASO CHUCUITO DEPOSIT-PRINCIPAL METALS: PB, SOME CU, ZN. WALL ROCK: SLATE, SANDSTONE. VEIN DEPOSIT. 7-8 KM S OF VILCABAMBA. ON CERRO HUAMANRIPIYOG A VEIN 350M OR SO LONG & 10-50CM WIDE CONSISTS OF GALENA IN A QUARTZ-PYRITE GOUGE. VEIN STR. N30W, DIP 85NE. ON CERRO SURACAJA, 3 PARALLEL E-STRIKING VEINS 30 CM WIDE CONTAIN SPHALERITE AND CHALCOPYRITE IN QUARTZ GOUGE. 3) NEVADO SOIROCCOCHA-PRINCIPAL METALS: PB, ZN, SOME CU...WALL ROCK: METAMORPHICS...VEIN DEPOSIT. SEVERAL SMALL ORE
Deposit DEPOSITS OCCUR HERE, 10-12 KM SW OF VILCABAMBA. THE SOIROCCHOCHA VEIN, 2-3 KM WEST OF PASO CHUCUITO, IS 300 M. LONG, COMPOSED OF 50 CM OF CHALCOPYRITE, GALENA, AND SPHALERITE IN CALCITE AND SIDERITE. V
