Deposit THE ORE VEIN IN DARK LIMESTONE STRIKES N 30 E, DIPS 25-50SE PARALLEL TO BEDDING IN HOST ROCK. THE MINERALIZED VEIN HAS BEEN MINED ALONG STRIKE FOR 40M. AND DOWN DIP ABOUT 20M. THE PILLARS IN THE MINE (NO LONGER OPERATING) SHOW THE VEIN WAS 50 CM THICK, AND MOSTLY QUARTZ AND CALCITE, ONLY 10%-25% BY VOLUME WAS GALENA. THE SITE OF THE MINE (NOW ABANDONED) AND THE ONLY PLACE WHERE GALENA CAN BE SEEN IS ON THE CREST OF A HILL WHERE THE BEDDING IN THE LIMESTONE PITCHES FROM 45 DEG DIP TO 25 DEG AND THEN BACK TO 45 DEG. ALTHOUGH THE VEIN HAS BEEN TRACED DOWNHILL BOTH NORTH AND SOUTH OF THE MINE, THE "ROLL" OR UNDULATION HAS BEEN ERODED AWAY, AND THE VEIN EXPOSED IN THESE EXPLORATIONS IS BARREN.
