Deposit THIS RECORD CONTAINS INFORMATION FROM MRDS RECORD NO. W002355 WHICH WAS A DUPLICATE RECORD FOR THIS SITE AND HAS BEEN DELETED FROM MRDS.
Deposit COPPER AND VERMICULITE OCCUR IN A LENS-SHAPED PYROXENITE INTRUSION THAT MEASURES 1.4 BY 0.7 KM. SMALL VEINLETS OF COPPER ARE FORMED CHIEFLY OF BORNITE WITH TAPERED LAMELLAR INTERGROWTHS OF CHALCOPYRITE; THE BORNITE IS PARTIALLY REPLACED BY COVELLITE AND IS CUT BY NUMBEROUS VEINLETS OF CHRYSOCOLLA. THE COPPER VEINLETS ARE VERY THIN (< 1 CM THICK) FRACTURE FILLINGS IN THE MULTIPLE-OXIDE SEGREGATIONS WITHIN THE PYROXENITE. VERMICULITE OCCURS ALONG SHEAR ZONES IN THE PYROXENITE AND MOST DEPOSITS ARE LESS THAN A FEW METERS ACROSS.
