  • EARLY PRODUCTION RECORDS VAGUE. PRODUCTION FROM 1918-1923 HAD REPORTED VALUE OF $1,500,000 MOSTLY IN SILVER.

Comments on the reserve resource information

  • SCHAFER STATES THAT WHILE DEVELOPED PORTION ESSENTIALLY MINED OUT, IT IS PROBABLE THAT ORE EXISTS TO A CONSIDERABLE DEPTH BELOW THE PRESENT WORKINGS. ASSUMING THAT THE MINE IS DEVELOPED TO THE 500 LEVEL AND ASSUMING THAT THE VEIN CONTINUES DOWNWARD FOR AN ADDITIONAL 250 FT. WITH A WIDTH OF 3 FEET GIVES THE RESOURCE ESTIMATE. ORE PRODUCED APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN HIGH GRADE BUT THE PAY WIDTH WAS PROBABLY ABOUT 1 FT SO THE LOW GRADE SHOWN IS DUE TO DILUTION FOR A 3 FT WIDE STOPE

Workings at the site

  • Type of workings Underground
    Length 2000M
    Overall depth 200M

Comments on the workings information

  • DEPOSIT DEVELOPED BY 550 FT. SHAFT WITH LEVELS AT 100 FT. INTERVALS AND 2 ADITS, THE MOULTON TUNNEL & THE BLACKSMITH TUNNEL. MINE STATUS CURRENTLY REPORTED AS DEVELOPING.
